추억의명곡 Greenfields는
.
포크 그룹인 '이지 라이더스'의 멤버
Terry Gilkyson(테리 길키슨)과 Richard Dehr(리챠드 데어),
그리고  Frank Miller(프랭크밀러)..
이렇게 3명의 합작으로 1957년에 만들어졌던 노래입니다
.
2년을 불러댔지만 별다른 반응을 얻지 못하다가
.
같은 소속사인 신인그룹 '브라더스 포'의 이미지와 어울리는
앨범의 타이틀 곡으로 다시 쓰게 되면서  
1960년.. '브라더스 포'의 리메이크로 세계적인 사랑을 받게됩니다
.
당시에 워싱턴 대학의 학생들이었던 '브라더스 포' 는
1959년 7월28일 CBS레코드사에서 이곡을 녹음했습니다
.
이 음반이 바로 그들의 데뷔 음반으로
1960년 2월10일에 발매 되자마자
단 14주만에 밀리언셀러를 기록합니다.

노래는.. 아무리 좋은 멜로디를 가졌다곤 해도
설사 또 누가 먼저 불렀다고 해서..
반드시 히트 한다는 보장이 없는..
.
그래서 한치앞을 못 보는
우리의 인간사 와도 참 많이 닮아 있다는 생각을 해 봅니다
.
이렇게 풍부한 감성과 호소력 있는 목소리로
격조높은 멜로디를 노래 했슴에도..

그녀의..
가장 실패한 앨범중 하나로.. 손 꼽혀지는 것 역시
참으로 아이러니한 대목이아닐까 합니다
